I lost my client!I had one great client who was very responsive and paid me well for projects. We had a long-standing relationship, and I even felt like we were friends at times because he would share personal stories with me. However, I made the mistake of becoming too informal with him, which ultimately damaged our professional relationship.During our last project, I asked for more money because the project required more time and effort than expected. Initially, he had only wanted a simple dashboard in Excel, but he kept adding more requirements as I completed the work. This wasn't the first time that he had paid me fairly, so I felt comfortable asking for more money in a friendly manner ( which he didn't like ). Unfortunately, he paid the initial amount and then stopped responding to my messages.Your client is always your client, no matter how close you become. I have decided to make commenting on LinkedIn posts a habit as it is a good way to engage with people. After watching some videos on how to effectively engage with people on LinkedIn, I learned that there are several ways to do so, including posting frequently, sending messages, networking, and commenting.I have tried networking and sending cold messages, but it hasn't given me the positive results I was hoping for. On 03/12/2023, I wrote a comment on a LinkedIn post, and I make sure to note down this activity every day.In my experience, the best way to connect with your target on LinkedIn is through commenting, rather than sending cold messages. You should first choose a target who is active on LinkedIn, then turn on post notifications for their profile and try to be the first to comment on their posts. After doing this consistently for five posts, you may then reach out to them through direct messages, turning them into warm leads.An important aspect of this strategy is to provide value while commenting, such as identifying a flaw in their post and offering a solution in the comment. Knowing when to give up is a crucial thing.Sometimes, giving up is the best decision. After completing college, I started blogging and aimed to post three times a week. My niche was random topics such as "Why am I alive?", "Is life important?", "How to be a better person?", and "How can I avoid distraction?"I put in a lot of effort to make my website visible to everyone, working tirelessly like a Python automation task. However, despite my efforts, the results were not positive. I realized that my posts had lots of grammar mistakes which made it difficult for native speakers to understand. I had hoped that the quality would improve over time, but it didn't, so I eventually decided to give up on blogging and started watching One Piece.I had predetermined the point at which I would give up if I couldn't achieve my goal within a specific timeframe. After finishing One Piece, I took a one-week break from the internet and my phone, just sleeping and eating all day. I recognized that everyone's path is different.Following this break, I created a 5-year plan. This time, I made the plan without including the option to give up. I've always believed in having two chances and not putting all my eggs in one basket.I've now completed 25% of my plan and I'm determined to keep going. I've learned that if you have every reason to give up, it's okay to do so, as long as you follow it up by creating a solid and disciplined plan. Learning English is important. Even though some people may say that English is not a necessary skill, it actually helps to connect with more people across the world.Back then, I didn't have any skills and I thought I could speak English fluently. So, I tried to get a BPO job and attended an interview two times in the same company, but I failed.So, I decided to learn English. I started to search for good apps so that I could practice my English. I found many apps, but I couldn't use any of them for more than 10 days due to money problems and some not working properly.I just practiced English by watching, reading, and writing. I felt like I am still on the same level. We can't learn until we do.After some weeks had passed, I heard about Discord and started exploring that app. Eventually, I found a Discord channel specifically created for learning English by speaking with others.In my environment, I couldn't get a chance to speak English.It's been more than one year, and I am still practicing English, but now I have confidence.I spoke with lots of people from different countries and made some friends around the world.Note: Some people are racist. Just ignore them.I just omitted my story and joined this server to practice English daily. Eventually, you will be good.And I prefer to learn about basic grammar in English.In some rooms, people will come and go. I am grateful for enabling dark mode on your platform, Upwork.Freelancers are constantly staring at the screen, day and night, waiting for the right job to apply to as quickly as possible. The bright white screen affects my sleep while I'm searching for a job.Now that you did one good thing for freelancers I really appreciate it.I have one request regarding the font color. The dark green color used to display skills is difficult for me to read.I use two monitors, and I'm certain that most people use a dual monitor setup. As a data analyst, it is important to know basic statistics for data analysis.I have recently completed the Statistics 101 book. It's really very enjoyable to read. Learned a lot of things and understood key concepts. Such as Frequency Distributions, the Law of Large Numbers, Central Limit Theorem, Outliers on the Bell Curve, Measuring Distribution, Hypothesis test, T-distribution, CHI-Square Distribution, ANOVA, and more...If you want to understand the basics of statistics for data analysis I would recommend this book.For more Advanced topics I would recommend this course: ( https://lnkd.in/gSP9uPJR ) I am currently pursuing this course.
