Maricruz Ayala Rosado, 49, Vero Beach
January 26, 1975 – June 4, 2024
Maricruz Ayala Rosado passed away on June 4th, 2024, in her home in Vero Beach, FL. Born in Miami on January 26, 1975, and raised by Joaquin and Amelia Ayala, Maricruz’s life was a tapestry of love for her family and her friends, which included just about everyone she ever met.
Maricruz’s journey began in Clewiston, where she grew up and graduated high school class of 1993. After high school Maricruz worked and lived with her older brother Nelson. Not long after, she met and fell in love with Franklin Rosado, and by October 26th of 1997, Maricruz married her soulmate.
In 2000, they began their family. Maricruz became a mother. And thus, her legacy began, and now includes her three remarkable sons, Matthew Alejandro Rosado, Antonio Francisco Rosado, and Andrew Julian Rosado.
For the next 24 years, Maricruz worked hard professionally, but most importantly as a loving mother and wife. Her life revolved around her family. Her sons’ school and sports interests became her interests. She put all her spare time into supporting each of her sons in up to 3 separate sports each year. Maricruz became a valued member of the booster clubs and volunteer member for the Sebastian River High School baseball team, wrestling team, and cross-country team. Over the last decade, she has additionally cheered for every other student that has participated in those sports as if they were her own as well. Her passion for her children, and their success was unmatched.
Her door was always open for friends and family, coffee was always available, and no matter what task was at hand, Maricruz would be there to help you get it done, either at work or on a field, or a concession stand, homework assignment… no matter.
Her children will forever cherish hearing stories and comforting words of the many people in the community that knew her, maybe they did not know themselves. Her tiny stature had a gigantic impact on her community, and the lives she touched were many. Her infectious light will continue to shine on. The love she had for her family and friends was unconditional.
Predeceased by her parents, Maricruz’s memory is honored by her loving husband Franklin; her sons Matthew, Antonio, and Andrew; her brothers Nelson Erazo Rivera and Jose “Papito” Erazo Rivera.
A viewing is to be held on June 7th, 2024, at Seawinds Funeral Home between 5-9 pm. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time, but will be announced on her Facebook page when that info is available.

Sylvia Jesiolowski Allen, 89, Sebastian
May 7, 1935–June 12, 2024
Sylvia Jesiolowski Allen, 89, of Sebastian, FL, peacefully passed away Wednesday, June 12th at the VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach, FL.
She was born to the late Stephen and Helen Jesiolowski on May 7, 1935, in Pittsburgh, PA. Sylvia graduated from Bellefield Girls’ Vocational High School in 1953 and went on to become a librarian at Carnegie Library where she worked in the children’s section. Marriage took her to Florida in 1961.
As an active member of Saint Sebastian Catholic Church, Sylvia participated in St. Sebastian’s Women’s Guild, Senior Socialites, and visited the Adoration Chapel regularly. Her hobbies included traveling, going on cruises, dancing, and sewing.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Ann, Marie, Frances, Helena, Regina, and Norma; brothers Frank, Joseph, Bernard, Norbert, and Henry; her former husbands Ronald J. S. Thorburn, Jr. (father of her daughters) and ex-husband; Howard L. Allen, her devoted husband of 32 years and father of her stepchildren; Paul D. Owens, her loving fiancé; and her step-daughter, Cynthia S. Allen.
She is survived by her daughters Suzan T. Boyd and Jayne T. (Michael) Wilding; her stepchildren Joseph H. Allen and Lisa M. Allen; her grandchildren Marlon, Sophie, Taylor, Megan, Logan and John; great grandson Cameron; and many nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on July 9th at St. Sebastian Catholic Church with interment immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Ft. Pierce.

Willetta (JoAn) Gramm, 98, Sebastian
September 1, 1925 – June 19, 2024
Willetta (JoAn) Gramm, 98, passed away on June 19, 2024 at her home in Sebastian.
Born in Idaville, Indiana she was the daughter of Lester and Johanna Blair.
JoAn was an avid lifetime gardener. She was the roots and a founding member of The Garden Club Park on Barber Street in Sebastian as well as an active board member of the Cincinnati Welcome Wagon.
She is survived by her three children, Joe, Val, and Rob, her daughter in law Cherie, her brothers Skip and Wink, her five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Lee.
Her family will hold a private memorial service.

Phyllis Joan Wilson, 87, Fellsmere
December 3, 1936 – June 9, 2024
Loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Joan Wilson, 87, of Fellsmere, FL, died peacefully in Darien, GA on June 9, 2024.
She was born in Corbin, KY in 1936 to Betty Lou and Coy Hill. One of 8 children, she had six sisters (Rosa Mae, Edith, Brenda, Jeanette, Marlene and Tenna) and one brother (Onzie).
Joan met the love of her life, Bud, when they were just kids, and they got married when she was a young girl. They had 2 children, Joe and Diana.
Joan’s favorite role was that as a grandparent (to Joseph Wilson, Andy Stock, Mike Stock, Cindy Shelton and Amanda Bartlett) and great grandparent (to Colton, Ashleigh, Bethaney, Joey, Tyler, Coy, AJ, Jacob and Marty) She treasured her time with grand and great grands kids and loved being their Gramma, never failing to find something fun to do.
Joan was an active member of Fellsmere Chapel.
Gramma will always be remembered for her silliness and love for fun. We couldn’t have asked for a better gramma, sister and friend, and we will miss her every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
